KIDS AFTER SCHOOL |

| • After school sewing. Let’s make some simple clothes. Bring a machine or use ours Using a sewing machine. Learn skills to read a pattern, laying out the fabric, cutting, sewing, measuring, facing, casing and finishing. Participants will need to bring fabric of choice, avoid satin and other shiny fabrics. • Learn to draw or paint with Applecross Special Art Student if your child shows a keen sense of artistic expression then bring them along to learn some techniques by the Community’s budding new artists from Applecross SHS. Ages 8+
• introduction to sewing machine In this class you will learn to sew! Operating a sewing machine, you will learn safely to set up machine, thread, wind and fit bobbin, insert the needle, learn about the buttons and dials, learn to apply basic stitch option. Then Lets make something! Learn to lay out simple pattern. |

• Toy making create your own unique cute, quirky toy/doll/animal from groovy patterns and unique materials. There will never be another one like yours! To keep for yourself or give someone a gift from made by your own hands. Some sewing experience necessary, see introduction to sewing machine. 2x 3 hours $70 suit age 14+ or Parent and Child Class, do it together. All materials provided Sat 20th and 27th Feb

• Exploring papermaking. A relaxing and meditative process using recycled materials to create beautiful papers for your own books, love letters, cards or scrapbook.

Sewing a button, hem, fixing a hole – this is the easiest class to learn and will last a lifetime. | • dressmaking / sewing evenings. For all you folks who want to make some kids clothes. Let’s make some simple garments and groovy for your children. Bring a machine or use ours. Learn skills to read a pattern, laying out the fabric, cutting, sewing, measuring and finishing. Participants will need to bring fabric of choice, avoid satin and other shiny fabrics. 8x 2 hours 7pm to 9pm Wed evenings 3nd Feb-24 March. $160 |

• Crochet and Knitting Club the hottest look this season. Over this term working at your own speed you will complete any number of 8 different projects, all displayed in store summer scarf or neck adornments and bracelets some fibres available in store or go and choose your own. Thursday nights 8 weeks 4th Feb-25 March $110 or $15 per week casual time 7.30-9pm
• Pattern making with local designer and Edith Cowan lecturer Terri-Anne. This term working on fitting sleeve variations and collars some additional equipment required, bring your own or ask us about ordering for you. I.e., long ruler, pattern making triangle, pin wheel. 8 week term Thursday 7- 9pm Feb 4th-March 25th. $180 |

• Redesign and personalise old clothes , found clothes, or op-shop scores How many times have you found something you love that just doesn’t fit, or you don’t like the colllar or the sleeves etc. Bring along a few items and some ideas and together let us help you recreate an individual item. If you don’t have anything in mind, come and check our store.
